On Tuesday 2006, in King Abdulaziz lecture Hall at King Abdulaziz Historical Centre, both Al-Turath Est. and Saudi Umran Society in Al-Riyadh held a lecture on "Traditional Islamic Building Heritage in Arabia". Dr. Geoffery King a reader in Islamic archaeology, had given this lecture.  

The lecture was attended by HH Khaled bin Abdullah Al-Migrin Al-Saud, Chairman of Board of Directors of Saudi Umran Society, and Dr. Sa'ad bin Abdulaziz Al-Rashid, Deputy Minister of Education for Antiquities and Museums, and a number of architects, as well as some people specializing and interested in urban heritage.
